The heart of Agape Gardens International:
A garden often signifies life, nurture and growth, a place of reflection, and respite. A garden is filled with lively beauties for the eyes to behold and the activation of all the sensory receptors. It's a place of presence not only for the physical but for the soul, a place to be awestruck, reflecting on the creator of it all. A reminder of God’s loving care for all.
Likewise, the education process reflects the beauty and growth found in a garden, which encompasses the spirit, soul, and body. In providing holistic knowledge acquisition and application, Agape Gardens grows and nurtures educators through presence and sincerity. All while acknowledging God as Creator and teaching with servant leadership following Jesus' example, led by the Holy Spirit.
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you” (Psalms 32:8).
More about the Founder:
My passion for teaching stemmed from my memory of a caring Christian educator and mentor Mrs. Usman, my elementary grade 2 teacher. Ever since under her exceptional caring but firm tutelage, I always recall how authentic and inspiring her class was in engaging students. I have come a long way; with over 20 years of teaching experience, to understand that being authentic is not enough to sustain effective teaching. There is more to an enduring teaching career. Moreover, my intent to teach from a heart of compassion and creativity attests to the universal truth of God’s love for all beings.
I have served in many educational initiatives in Asia (Singapore, Mainland China, and Hong Kong SAR).Teacher professional development is a passion I have built and sustained with God’s guidance for over 15 years including serving as a teacher trainer to teachers of English and curriculum reviewer in Mainland China international and local school settings, teaching enhancements programs in Suriname South America and teacher classroom observation in tertiary education in Hong Kong (SAR).
I experienced collegiate educational interaction in international conferences especially in European institutions including the Oxford University and have authored three international journal publications.
